Review: the Balm Highlights

Hey Dolls! So here’s a short but sweet review on these two gorgeous highlights featuring the Balm. I have Mary-Lou Manizer and Cindy-Lou Manizer. First off lets talk about the packaging!! I swear I am big on products with cute and creative packaging. The fact that they have a vintage, rebellious pin-up style girl is so unique and edgy. To me it screams out adventurous, trendy and girly. Then, theres the names, simply eye catching. I must  say the packaging is what drew me into these highlighters.

So this is the Cindy-Lou Manizer. This is more of a peachy hue. Pigmentation is pretty good as it gives off a nice subtle glow. Its shimmery but not glittery which is what I love about it. Its. perfect for everyday wear because the highlight it gives is dewy and natural. This highlight can also be used as an eyeshadow for a more festive/shimmer look. I personally use it to highlight my inner eye, cheekbones, nose bridge, little area under the nose and top of the lip and my chin. Its such a natural and beautiful glow, check it out I’m sure you’ll love it! This product retails for $24.

This one is the Mary-Lou Manizer. It is  a gold/champagne hue. It’s shimmery but not in a glitter texture which is great! Versatile in using it as an eyeshadow and highlight. I use this one the same as the Cindy-Lou, however, this one I will use in the summer on my shoulder area to give it some glow when using an off the shoulder top. When the sun reflects it gives off such a great glow! Its also a beautiful highlight my picture gives no justice. This also retails at $24.

Let me start by saying I apologize for the bad lighting, my picture does not give these highlights any justice. They are both very illuminating, the color is very pigmented, you don’t need a lot of the product when applying as it instantly adds the shimmer where ever it’s applied. In my personal opinion you can’t go wrong with trying either or, they are both subtle but can be build up depending on the intensity of highlight you seek. They are easy to work with, not chalky at all and they will work great with any skin tone. I recommend them both if your looking for a highlight that will bring a natural glow and dewy look.

If you have tried any of these let me know what you think of them. Thank you for reading.

Happy Blogging!
