IPSY May 2018/ First bag impression.

Hey Dolls! So this is my first time ever getting a subscription with IPSY. I received my first bag early this week and I wanted to share the goodies in my bag. I will be sharing my first IPSY bag impression. So the theme for this bag is travel: Go There, I’m getting lost in your travels and exploring the world type of vibes. The makeup bag itself is quiet creative. Its yellow with various travel stamps on the front and then a pretty salmon/coral color on the back. The attention to detail is appreciated as well, as the zipper charm has an airplane on one side and IPSY logo on the other. Super cute is my first impression. Now lets move on to the good stuff!

These are the items in the bag:

My first thought was for this being my first bag it was good. I really liked the variation as I  received some makeup, skincare and a brush. When I filled out the profile I asked for skincare and makeup as well as brushes so, I’m thinking so far so good IPSY! So here we have products from brands I hadn’t tried before so it’s pretty exciting to check them out!

EyekoLiquid Eyeliner in Black. This product is said to be*: smudge proof, fade proof, deep black color. It has a felt tip which I personally like. Great for creating a precise wing line and cat eye look! Happy to have received this product because I absolutely love deep black eyeliners, so I’m hoping this works out great for me.

Beaute Basics Satin Taupe Eyeshadow. This is more of a bronze shimmery color. It appears to have a metallic finish and its nicely pigmented. It’s said* to be long lasting, blendable, and can be used dry or wet. Looking forward to creating a nice neutral look with this. Also, pictured is a Beau Gachis– Tapered Blending Brush. Its made of synthetic hairs and its soft and fluffy. It’s said to be good for applying highlight and sculpting as well as applying eyeshadow. I do not own any brushes by this brand so this is new to me! Also, excited to try it out.

thumbnail-5 Here is a swatch of the eyeliner and Taupe eyeshadow. You can see the metallic finish it has. I’m sure on the eye it will look gorgeous. The eyeliner is BOMB!! It seems to have a matte finish and that I am loving.

NYXSoft Matte Lip Cream in Cannies. First let me say I did not swatch this as I do not plan on keeping it. I was not at all a fan of the color. It is way to dark for my skin complexion so I know it won’t look good on me. This is said* to be smooth and creamy. It smells like vanilla cupcakes. Its supposed to be a medium, soft mauve hue but its much darker in person.

Grace & Stella Dead Sea Mud Mask. I was really excited to see this. I love love love face masks, I am seriously all about them. This is said* to be made with actual Dead Sea mud. It will detoxify and clear impurities giving a soft  and smooth complexion. The formula is fast-working and it helps with the appearance of fine lines and pores is what they claim will be the case after one use. So we shall see. It’s also supposed to give hydration and glow to your skin.

Well this is it. As I said over all the products in my first bag were not disappointing. I enjoyed my first IPSY bag and look forward to next months goodies. I can’t wait to try out my products and see if they have a future in my makeup and skincare collection.

Thank you for reading!

Happy Blogging!

Review: My current body skincare obsession.

Hey dolls, sharing a review on my current body skincare obsessions. This magic duo is keeping my skin moisturized, hydrated and exfoliated. Although, we are in Spring, the weather is still relatively cold here where I live. This cold is causing my skin to fight this constant battle of staying moisturized and hydrated. So after several fails of body creams that did not soothe my skin, I have found these two amazing products that work! These Soap & Glory products are my holy grail right now. They have helped me tremendously with the feeling of dryness and roughness that the winter did to my skin. I can honestly say they are reviving my skin. I normally have combination skin, but this winter my skin was more on the dry feel and I knew I needed to find something that would rehydrate it.

So a little info on these amazing products and why I love them so much!

Soap & Glory – Breakfast Scrub, Smoothie Star

First of all imagine waking up not wanting to get out of your warm and cozy bed. Wanting to hit snooze on the alarm for the 4th time but then weighing your options because you want to shower but not be late to work. This is me everyday. Ever since I began using the body scrubs it has helped me feel awake and sets the tone for the morning. I now look forward to getting out of bed and in the shower with this amazing scrub. I mean after all who doesn’t want a little breakfast in the morning? I use this scrub in my morning or evening showers just about every two days. Its light enough of a scrub that you can use it on a daily base, but for me personally using it every two days is working great. This body scrub is made with oats, sugar and shea and let me tell you this is the perfect recipe for an amazing exfoliation. It has hints of banana, almonds and honey and has a maple sweet scent. Some might say its a bit strong of a smell but I love it! The consistency is gritty but not rough on the skin when being used. It leaves my skin feeling rejuvenated and smooth after every use.  If your looking for a scrub thats not harsh on the skin and leaves a smooth finish then definitely check this product out.

Soap & Glory – The Righteous Butter

OMG let me tell you about just how much I am obsessing over this product!! This body butter is AMAZING, and provides hydration like no other. I use this after EVERY shower without fail. I actually just reorderd this product becuase I need to make sure I have my backup ready :). This body butter is made with shea butter and aloe vera which are both great in moisturizing the skin. The consistency is thick, but once you massage it on to your body it spreads evenly and your skin absorbs it right away. The hydration and moisture it provides leaves your skin feeling soft all day. Its great for all skin types but helps so much for dry skin. As an added bonus it smells AMAZING, not overpowering at all. Can you tell I absolutely love this product?! If you are like me and love body butters that do not leave that oily skin feel, then you NEED this in your life.

So yes, this is what I’m currently using to keep my skin feeling soft, moisturized and hydrated. It’s working great and I have been using it for a while now. If you own any of these products let me know how you feel about them. What type of products do you use for your body’s skincare? I’m always looking to try new products for skincare because as the weather changes so does my skin.  Thank you for visiting my blog and as always this review is my personal opinion. These products were purchased with my money and by me.
